New GDPR Data Protection Legislation – Are you ready?

The General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR is a new policy which becomes enforceable in May 2018.
With fines which can be as much as 4% of global turnover the need to ensure effective control and protection of records relating to any European Citizen has never been greater.

Effective use of secured electronic records help to meet these stringent and potentially costly regulations.
Robust and secure IT systems already allow you to track and control how data is viewed, managed and secured – but what about those paper files you still hold – who controls/manages and tracks them and the way they are used or viewed.

UK Document Managements’ use of industry standard PDF images allows you to convert paper records and hold them securely and in a managed manner to meet these new guidelines. You control them via your existing IT security protocols, upload and back up this vital information whilst controlling and tracking access.

The use of data masking or pseudonymised data is made that much easier when the records are held electronically. The aim of applying pseudonymisation is to help protect file confidentiality (by reducing the potential identifiability of the data collected, held and disseminated ) whilst still enabling the datasets to be used.
